Just got laid off, what should I do first? - 3 months and counting

I lost my job as a sales associate and I am not sure what to do first. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
