Just got laid off, what should I do first? - 26 weeks in

I was let go as a teaching assistant this week and I am still in shock. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. What did you do in the first week?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
