Just got laid off, what should I do first? - 2 weeks in

I lost my job as a welding apprentice and I am not sure what to do first. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. What did you do in the first week?

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
