Just got laid off, what should I do first? - 19 weeks in

I was let go as an insurance claims processor this week and I am still in shock. I am in Kansas City, in case local advice matters. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
