Just got laid off, what should I do first? - 16 weeks in

I lost my job as a data-entry clerk and I am not sure what to do first. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
