Just got laid off, what should I do first? - 14 weeks in

I lost my job as a procurement assistant and I am not sure what to do first. It has been a long 14 weeks. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. What did you do in the first week?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
