Just got laid off, what should I do first? - 14 months and counting

They called a meeting on Thursday and 18 of us were let go. I had been there 18 years. I worked as an electrician's helper before this. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
