Just got laid off, what should I do first? - 12 months and counting

I was let go as a payroll clerk this week and I am still in shock. I am in Cincinnati, in case local advice matters. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.
