Just got laid off, what should I do first? - 12 months and counting

They called a meeting on Tuesday and 17 of us were let go. I had been there 17 years. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
