Just got laid off, what should I do first? - 12 months and counting

I was let go as a production planner this week and I am still in shock. I am in Little Rock, in case local advice matters. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.
