Just got laid off, what should I do first? - 12 months and counting

I lost my job as a barista and I am not sure what to do first. Any experience at all would help. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. Which steps were urgent?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
