Industry layoffs, what are people doing? - what worked for you?

Three companies in Madison cut staff in the same month. I worked as a pharmacy technician before this. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. Who has switched fields?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
