Industry layoffs, what are people doing? - what worked for you?

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as an electrician's helper. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable.

A short certificate helped me more than a new degree would have. Check what local colleges offer.
