Industry layoffs, what are people doing? - what worked for you?

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as a software tester. It has been a long 10 weeks. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. Who has switched fields?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
