Industry layoffs, what are people doing? (update)

Three companies in Sacramento cut staff in the same month. It has been a long 21 weeks. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable.

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.

Look at job postings to see which skills repeat, then fill the gap. That gave me a direction.
