Industry layoffs, what are people doing? (update)

Three companies in Cleveland cut staff in the same month. It has been a long 2 weeks. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. Which areas are hiring?

Look at job postings to see which skills repeat, then fill the gap. That gave me a direction.
