Industry layoffs, what are people doing? (Milwaukee)

Three companies in Milwaukee cut staff in the same month. Thank you in advance. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. How did you choose?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
