Industry layoffs, what are people doing? - first time posting

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as a paralegal. This is my first time dealing with any of this. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. Who has switched fields?

Look at job postings to see which skills repeat, then fill the gap. That gave me a direction.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
