Industry layoffs, what are people doing?, copywriter here

Three companies in Oklahoma City cut staff in the same month. I am in Oklahoma City, in case local advice matters. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. How did you choose?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
