Industry layoffs, what are people doing? (Chicago)

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as a welding apprentice. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable.

A short certificate helped me more than a new degree would have. Check what local colleges offer.
