Industry layoffs, what are people doing? - any advice?

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as a marketing coordinator. It has been a long 12 weeks. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. How did you choose?

Look at job postings to see which skills repeat, then fill the gap. That gave me a direction.
