Industry layoffs, what are people doing? after 9 years as a recruiter

Three companies in Charlotte cut staff in the same month. I am in Charlotte, in case local advice matters. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. Who has switched fields?

Look at job postings to see which skills repeat, then fill the gap. That gave me a direction.

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
