Industry layoffs, what are people doing? after 6 years as an operations analyst

Our sector has been shrinking and I am unsure if I should wait it out. Any experience at all would help. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. Which areas are hiring?

A short certificate helped me more than a new degree would have. Check what local colleges offer.
