Industry layoffs, what are people doing? after 6 years as a sales associate

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as a sales associate. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. Which areas are hiring?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
