Industry layoffs, what are people doing? after 14 years as a dental hygienist

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as a dental hygienist. I have transferable skills but no direct experience elsewhere. Which areas are hiring?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
