Industry layoffs, what are people doing? - 9 months and counting

Three companies in Detroit cut staff in the same month. I worked as an operations analyst before this. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. Who has switched fields?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
