Industry layoffs, what are people doing?

Three companies in Spokane cut staff in the same month. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. Which areas are hiring?

Look at job postings to see which skills repeat, then fill the gap. That gave me a direction.
