Industry layoffs, what are people doing? - 5 months and counting

Three companies in Kansas City cut staff in the same month. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. How did you choose?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
