Industry layoffs, what are people doing? - 21 weeks in

Three companies in Cincinnati cut staff in the same month. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have transferable skills but no direct experience elsewhere. How did you choose?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
