Industry layoffs, what are people doing? - 14 months and counting

Three companies in Tucson cut staff in the same month. I worked as a software tester before this. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. Which areas are hiring?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
