Industry layoffs, what are people doing? - 12 months and counting

Three companies in Hartford cut staff in the same month. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. Which areas are hiring?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
