How do you keep going after 17 rejections?

I sent 17 applications and heard nothing back, and I am running low on energy. I am in Atlanta, in case local advice matters. I keep comparing myself with friends who are working.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
