How do you keep going after 17 rejections? after 17 years as a barista

After a layoff as a barista I am finding mornings difficult. I keep comparing myself with friends who are working. Did it pass?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

A fixed routine helped me most: up at the same time, one hour of job search, then a walk. Small but it worked.
