How do you keep going after 16 rejections? after 16 years as a retail manager

I have been out of work for 18 weeks and this week has been the hardest. I worked as a retail manager before this. I keep comparing myself with friends who are working. What helps you on bad days?

A fixed routine helped me most: up at the same time, one hour of job search, then a walk. Small but it worked.

I stopped looking at job sites after dinner. Evenings became mine again.
