How do you keep going after 13 rejections? - what worked for you?

I sent 13 applications and heard nothing back, and I am running low on energy. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I keep comparing myself with friends who are working.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
