How do you keep going after 12 rejections? after 12 years as a payroll clerk

After a layoff as a payroll clerk I am finding mornings difficult. I keep comparing myself with friends who are working. Did it pass?

A fixed routine helped me most: up at the same time, one hour of job search, then a walk. Small but it worked.
