How do I tell my family about the layoff?, web developer here

My spouse does not know yet that I was let go as a web developer. I worked as a web developer before this. I feel ashamed even though the company cut a whole team.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
