How do I tell my family about the layoff? (Salt Lake City)

My spouse does not know yet that I was let go as an operations analyst. It has been weighing on me all week. I want a plan before I speak. Did it get easier afterwards?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
