How do I tell my family about the layoff?, procurement assistant here

My spouse does not know yet that I was let go as a procurement assistant. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I want a plan before I speak.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
