How do I tell my family about the layoff?, line cook here

I was laid off 11 weeks ago and have not told my family because I do not want them to worry. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I want a plan before I speak. How did you handle it?

Do not wait until a bill surprises them. The longer it goes, the harder it gets.
