How do I tell my family about the layoff?, hotel front-desk agent here

My spouse does not know yet that I was let go as a hotel front-desk agent. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I feel ashamed even though the company cut a whole team. Did it get easier afterwards?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
