How do I tell my family about the layoff? - first time posting

My spouse does not know yet that I was let go as an administrative assistant. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I feel ashamed even though the company cut a whole team. Did it get easier afterwards?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
