How do I tell my family about the layoff? - 8 months and counting

I was laid off 16 weeks ago and have not told my family because I do not want them to worry. Any experience at all would help. Bills are coming up and I cannot keep this quiet.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
