How do I tell my family about the layoff? - 19 weeks in

I was laid off 19 weeks ago and have not told my family because I do not want them to worry. Any experience at all would help. I want a plan before I speak.

Do not wait until a bill surprises them. The longer it goes, the harder it gets.
