How do I tell my family about the layoff? - 15 weeks in

I was laid off 15 weeks ago and have not told my family because I do not want them to worry. I am in Boise, in case local advice matters. Bills are coming up and I cannot keep this quiet.

Do not wait until a bill surprises them. The longer it goes, the harder it gets.
