How do I tell my family about the layoff? - 14 weeks in

I was laid off 14 weeks ago and have not told my family because I do not want them to worry. I am in Raleigh, in case local advice matters. Bills are coming up and I cannot keep this quiet. What did you say?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
