How do I explain a layoff in interviews? - what worked for you?

My whole team was cut and I want to say it calmly. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I do not want to blame the company. Do you mention numbers?

Practise it out loud with a friend. Mine felt natural after the third try.
