How do I explain a layoff in interviews?, school bus driver here

I have an interview next week and I am unsure how to explain why I left my last job as a school bus driver. There are 14 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I also do not want to seem like a risk. Do you mention numbers?

If a company has been in the news for layoffs, you can mention that. Often the interviewer already knows.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
