How do I explain a layoff in interviews? - any advice?

My whole team was cut and I want to say it calmly. It has been a long 26 weeks. I do not want to blame the company. Do you mention numbers?

Say it plainly and move on to what you can do. Interviewers usually move on if you do.

Practise it out loud with a friend. Mine felt natural after the third try.
