How do I explain a layoff in interviews? after 6 years as a school bus driver

Chidi Osei · 2026-05-04T15:15:36.213Z

I have an interview next week and I am unsure how to explain why I left my last job as a school bus driver. I have been practising in the mirror. Do you mention numbers?

Practise it out loud with a friend. Mine felt natural after the third try.
